A Mile In My Shoes: Using Student Experiences to Design School Systems

Mike is an educator at High Tech High, a School Retool designer and coach, and the founder of Blue Dot Education. He works with school and systems leaders around the country to help them design and redesign more human-centered schools.
Rodrigo, High Tech High Graduate School of Education, is the Director of Philosophy and Co-Directs the CARPE College Access Network. Rodrigo believes in the transformative power of relationships as a keystone to successful schools and school systems. It’s through these relationships that schools and communities can learn, improve, and thrive.
Dr. Martín Casas is Principal at San Pasqual High School in the Escondido Union High School District. Dr. Casas was recently recognized as the 2019 – 2020 ACSA Region 18 Principal of Year. Dr. Adriana Lepe-Ramirez is Principal at Escondido High School in the Escondido Union High School District. A Chrispeels Doctoral Fellow in Educational Leadership. Dr. Lepe-Ramirez is a life-long champion for equity and diversity. She believes in the power of student voice and developing teacher leadership in public education.
